2. General Information

The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you use our Timepilot app or visit our website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally.

3. Data Collection on Our Website

3.1 Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that your web browser stores on your device. Cookies help us make our offering more user-friendly, effective and secure.

Some cookies are "session cookies." Such cookies are automatically deleted after your browser session ends. Other cookies remain on your device until you delete them yourself. Such cookies help us recognize you on your next visit.

3.2 Server Log Files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These include:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of server request
  • IP address

This data is not combined with other data sources. The data is also deleted after statistical evaluation.

4. Data Collection in the Timepilot App

4.1 Account Data

Registration is required to use the app. We collect the following data:

  • Email address
  • Chosen password (stored encrypted)
  • Optional: Name and profile picture

4.2 Usage Data

When using the app, the following data is collected:

  • Appointments and tasks (for synchronization between devices)
  • Settings and preferences
  • Device information (operating system, app version)
  • Usage statistics (anonymized)

4.3 Crash Reports and Error Analysis

To ensure app stability, crash reports are automatically created, which may contain the following information:

  • Device information (model, operating system version)
  • Error messages and stack traces
  • App state at the time of error

This data contains no personal content and is used exclusively for troubleshooting.

5. Google Services and Advertising

5.1 Google Analytics

This website and app uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics uses cookies that enable analysis of your use of the website/app. The information generated by the cookie about your usage is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

5.2 Google AdMob

Our app displays advertising via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect the following data:

  • Device advertising ID
  • IP address
  • Device information
  • Usage behavior in the app (for personalized advertising)

You can disable personalized advertising in your device settings:

  • Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Turn off Personalized Ads
  • iOS: Settings > Privacy > Apple Advertising > Turn off Personalized Ads

6. Legal Basis for Processing

The processing of your personal data is based on the following legal bases:

  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR: Consent for cookies and tracking
  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR: Contract fulfillment for app functions
  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR: Legitimate interests for error analysis and improvement

7. Data Storage and Deletion

We store your data only as long as necessary for the respective purposes:

  • Account data: Until account deletion
  • Usage data: Until account deletion or upon request
  • Log files: Maximum 7 days
  • Analytics data: 26 months (Google Analytics standard)

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): Right to information about processed data
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): Right to correction of incorrect data
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): Right to deletion of your data
  • Right to restriction (Art. 18 GDPR): Right to restriction of processing
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): Right to data transfer
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Right to object to processing
  • Right of withdrawal: Right to withdraw given consents

9. Data Transfer to Third Countries

Some of our service providers are located in third countries (outside the EU/EEA). Data transfer only takes place if:

  • An adequacy decision by the EU Commission exists, or
  • Appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) exist, or
